Palmako AS public policy regarding the exclusion of illegal and controversial timber:

It is the policy of AS Palmako to avoid using wood that has been illegally harvested; wood from genetically modified trees; wood from areas where traditional or civil rights are violated; and wood from uncertified high conservation value old-growth forests, as described in the current FSC PBC policy, when applying the FSC policy.

Palmako AS has appointed a contact person responsible for implementing this policy. The purchasing manager of Palmako can be contacted regarding any aspects of this policy for clarification. The present policy is public and provided to anybody upon request. The purchasing manager is willing to explain the background for this policy to any interested party.

If Palmako AS is informed by third parties based on solid evidence that any of its suppliers are providing them with illegal or controversial timber, Palmako promises to promptly take the appropriate actions. Actions may include stopping purchases from such sources or following up activities with the supplier to explain FSC public policy and avoid future cases.

Palmako AS encourages external parties to get in touch if it becomes known that timber supplied to Palmako is illegal or originates from unacceptable sources. Palmako is committed to paying attention to any such claim that is sufficiently backed up by evidence.

TÜV Rheinland

Most of Palmako’s products for children (swings, playgrounds, playhouses and sandpits) are certified by TÜV Rheinland. It is an additional safety and high-quality guarantee to the customer that the product itself as well as its manufacturing process are tested and supervised with the utmost care by an independent certifying body.

TÜV Rheinland has audited the manufacturing procedures in production sites and tested the playsets both mechanically and chemically in the laboratory to confirm their compliance with the EN 71 safety standards. All test results proved that Palmako play sets are safe in operation and compatible for the kids.
